Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Board

The Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Board (WDB) is an employer-driven, policy-making entity, charged with creating and establishing a workforce delivery system for Carroll and Howard Counties that is accountable, responsive and effective. The Carroll County Business/Employment Resource Center in Westminster is the American Job Center in Carroll County and the Howard County Office of Workforce Development is the American Job Center in Howard County.

The Workforce Investment & Opportunity Act was signed into law on July 22, 2014. The Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Board of Directors is charged with ensuring coordination of the state’s strategic workforce goals with the local plans.
