Job Title: Contractual Part-Time 1:1 Aide
Department: Human Services (DHS), through Wise Minds Therapeutics, LLC.

Employment Type: Temporary, Part-Time, Contractual (Hourly)

Primary Purpose
To provide onsite intensive, one-on-one personalized assistance, supervision, and guidance to an assigned minor that is in temporary housing through DHS. These children may have physical, developmental, or behavioral needs. During work hours, staff will go to the child’s site and supervise them through daily activities throughout their shift.

Key Responsibilities
Individualized Support: Provide direct, 1:1 assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), which may include personal care, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene.
Behavioral Management: Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or specific therapeutic and behavior support plans. Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis management to maintain a safe environment.

Data Collection: Observe, track, and document the client’s mood, daily progress, and behavioral challenges. Report findings to teachers, supervisors, or case managers.

Accompaniment & Transportation: Supervise the client during program hours, transitions between classrooms/facilities, and during community outings or field trips.

Collaboration: Attend multidisciplinary team meetings (e.g., with teachers, therapists, and families) to ensure consistent care.

Compensation
$22 per hour.
Employer sponsored Crisis Management Training, CPR, and background check.
Paid training.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Transportation: Must have transportation.
Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of experience working with children or adults with special needs, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges is preferred but not required.
Passion to serve and support youth.
Clearances: Ability to pass comprehensive state background checks (No criminal charges within 7 years of application.)
Drug test: Employees must undergo employer sponsored drug testing and pass to be eligible for this position.

Physical Demands
Must be physically active and capable of standing, walking, bending, and regularly lifting/moving up to 40 lbs. The role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
