Job Description

English American Tailoring is looking for full time day shift Pressers. We believe in our candidates and provide paid on-the-job training so you will know the ins and outs of the pressing position. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures and quality assurance is carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits. Job Requirements

· Operate automated pressing machines, which include both hydraulic and hand devices, to remove wrinkles from custom produced apparel garments for customers around the world.

· Remove a finished article of clothing from the pressing machine and hang properly to allow article to cool and retain its shape

· Use of hand iron to finish off certain pieces that need a final touch to remove any discrepancies in the fabric

· Apply light steam or water mist to moisten articles prior to final pressing

Job Skills & Qualifications

· Strong attention to detail

· Read work tickets for pressing codes

· Great work ethic

· Ability to work stand for extended periods

· Punctual

· Willingness to learn
