Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Starting pay: $20 per hour

Relic Table Co. is a growing custom furniture company specializing in premium solid-wood dining tables. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Furniture Finisher & Sander to join our small team in Finksburg, Maryland.

This person will be responsible for preparing our tables for finish, applying finish, and helping ensure that every piece meets our quality standards before it leaves the shop. Experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who is patient, hardworking, and takes pride in doing careful work.

Responsibilities:
– Sand solid-wood table tops, bases, edges, corners, and other components
– Prepare furniture surfaces for finishing
– Apply Rubio Monocoat finishes according to our established process
– Inspect finished pieces and correct imperfections
– Clean and prepare tables for delivery
– Help wrap, move, load, and unload furniture
– Maintain a clean and organized finishing area
– Follow production schedules and complete work efficiently
– Communicate with the shop lead about quality concerns or project needs
– Assist with deliveries or other shop tasks as needed

– Previous experience with furniture finishing, woodworking, cabinetry, automotive finishing, painting, sanding, or another hands-on trade is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:
-Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the day
– Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive sanding motions
– Ability to lift approximately 50 – 100 pounds independently
– Ability to help lift and move very heavy furniture safely with a team. We are constantly moving and flipping the tables, so being strong and able bodied is a must.
