CCWD helped me get a job!

Recently, I was abruptly without work. Of course I was devastated after two and a half years with the company and right before the holidays not sure what to do.  I turned to Carroll County Workforce Development really thinking they were just going to be a place to look for jobs, use computers that type of thing but I was met with all sorts of hands up, countless emails and text messages and phone calls and sit downs with their staff. So really they cared more about just getting you a job; they wanted to break down barriers for employment. I was assigned a case manager who went above and beyond after filling out several applications and sending resumes. With no luck I attended a job fair that one of the companies I had applied to and heard nothing from had attended, my CCWD consultant talked to that company and within a matter of days I had an on-site interview and was hired that day. Without the help of my consultant and the rest of the staff at Carroll County Workforce, I would not have landed this amazing job! I now work for a company that I can consider a career company making better money than I have in many years – a place where I see a solid future! I could not have done this on my own.
