Job Description

The Bureau Chief of Building Construction plays a crucial role in managing construction projects under the County’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP). You will oversee the activities of employees engaged in project planning, design, construction, and renovation. We are looking for a leader to think analytically and respond effectively to complex issues related to construction projects. Your day-to-day will include making important decisions on all phases of construction, from funding request through design, construction, and project closeout.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field
• Seven or more years of related experience
• Five or more years of supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to perform supervisory duties.
• A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Licensed Architect
