Description of position
• Perform landscape tasks on a crew led by your BJL, Inc. landscape supervisor
• Perform all assigned tasks in a workmanlike manner, following the direction of your supervisors and standard landscape practices
• Report to work on time, in clean uniform and with any equipment issued to you by BJL, Inc.
• Behave in a professional manner when in uniform and on job sites
Use assigned tools and equipment in a safe, proper manner
• Assist in loading and unloading work trucks and trailers
• Be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
• Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently through workday
• Use assigned tools in a safe manner
• Familiarity with company manual and policies, including safety guidelines/standards
• Be proficient in using of basic maintenance hand tools including leaf rake, broom, hoe, shovel, water hose, pruners, and hedge shears
• Be proficient in using landscape maintenance equipment including mower, blower, weed eater
• Learn and perform basic landscape tasks including planting, mulching, pruning, watering, snow removal
• Perform all necessary maintenance and Ability to sharpen tools
Essential functions
• Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m. Must be available to work on an as-needed basis during busy seasons (extra hours per day and/or on weekends)
• Must be able to operate equipment and perform physical tasks required by projects i.e. ability to lift 50 lbs.; ability to work outdoors
• Must be available to participate in snow removal activities
• Complete tasks, Team player

• Employee must have transportation to work.
• Employee must provide and wear safety work boots every day.
• Employee must be authorized to work in the US
• Employee must be able to perform physical tasks, and lift, push and pull up to 50Lbs of weight through out the day.
