Licensed Clinical Therapist

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our growing mental health clinic at Archway Counseling Services. The therapist will provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients across diverse backgrounds and presenting concerns. The ideal candidate is client-centered, highly professional, and committed to delivering quality care in alignment with Archway Counseling Services mission of supporting emotional wellness and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
• Clinical Care
o Provide evidence-based individual, family, and/or group therapy.
o Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
o Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other professionals as needed.
o Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as appropriate.
• Client Support & Advocacy
o Build strong therapeutic relationships through empathy, trust, and professionalism.
o Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when necessary.
o Educate clients and families on coping strategies, resources, and wellness practices.
• Professional & Team Contributions
o Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
o Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive clinic culture.
o Stay current on best practices, treatment modalities, and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Active, unrestricted clinical license in [Insert State] as LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or Psychologist (required).
• Minimum 1–3 years of clinical experience post-licensure (preferred; new licensees welcome to apply).
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong clinical, assessment, and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based practices.

Job Requirements

1. Education
– Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.

2. Licensure (Maryland)
– Fully Licensed: LCPC, LCSW-C, LMFT
– Pre-Licensed (accepted): LGPC, LMSW

3. Clinical Experience
– Preferred: 1–3+ years of clinical experience
– Internship/residency acceptable for pre-licensed clinicians

4. Clinical Skills
– CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
– Motivational Interviewing
– Trauma-informed care
– Treatment planning and documentation
– Risk assessment and crisis management

5. Soft Skills
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Empathy and ability to build trust
– Team-oriented and collaborative mindset

6. Technology Requirements
– Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Tebra)
– Telehealth competency
– Timely documentation and caseload management

7. Responsibilities
– Provide individual, couples, or family therapy
– Develop and update treatment plans
– Maintain clinical documentation
– Collaborate with therapy and psychiatry team
– Participate in case consultations

8. Preferred Qualifications
– 1+ year experience
– Comfortable with 20–25 sessions per week
– Experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD

9. Ideal Candidate
– Fully licensed clinician
– Able to independently manage a full caseload
– Interested in integrated care with psychiatry
