Job Description
Summary – Advanced Vacuum Company, Inc. operates within the requirements of an ISO 9001:2015 Registered Quality Management System. The remainder of this document outlines the minimum requirements and expectations in the performance of tasks and duties associated with the position described, and will be used, in part, as the criteria upon which personal performance assessments based.
Each ADVACO mechanic is to put forth his best effort at all times, striving to obtain the highest degree of quality service in the vacuum industry. He will be expected to treat customers and their equipment with respect and integrity, utilizing all available resources to achieve customer satisfaction. He will attempt at all times to make ADVACO stand out as a leader in the vacuum industry by superior performance.
1. Daily Duties
1.1. Each mechanic will be taught procedures and practices for disassembly, cleaning and assembly of all types of vacuum pumps and equipment
1.2. Completion of Work Order related paperwork
1.3. Fix rejected pumps from test rack.
1.4. Adhere to all ADVACO company policies
1.5. Operation of glass bead machine, jet washer and paint booth
1.6. Maintain confidentiality regarding company re-build procedures
1.7. Notifying supervisors of problems which would interfere with job performance
1.8. Attend informational ADVACO company meetings and training seasons
2. Occasional Duties
2.1. Painting and mounting pumps/systems
2.2. Test pumps
2.3. Computer entry of Work Order data
3. Safety/Housekeeping
3.1. Keep work area as clean as possible
3.2. Follow all safety procedures
3.3. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
3.4. Keep walkways and exits clear
3.5. Sweep the shop floor
3.6. Take out trash, cardboard, etc.
3.7. Mop floors when necessary

Job Requirements
WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Must have good mechanical ability
Must have mechanics’ tools
Excellent communication skills
Willing to travel if necessary for service work/warranty repair
Must be willing and able to conform to the requirements of an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system. Experience in this area is preferred but not required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED preferred
