John Parker Paving has multiple positions available near Sykesville, Maryland.

Paving crew member and asphalt paving operations on both public and private projects.

John Parker Paving is a local leader in highways, streets, parking lots, and driveways.

• Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits.
• Has a thorough understanding of various aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, mix designs, job specifications, compaction, and other details related to asphalt paving.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills.
• Perform well in a “TEAM” environment.
• The ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to detect and solve problems.
• Valid driver’s license is required. Minimum Education and Experience
• 2-3 years of asphalt experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements & Conditions
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise.
