Job Description
Position Overview
Ridge Equipment Company, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Inventory Data Coordinator to manage inventory information systems and support warehouse operations. This role is essential to maintaining accurate data flow across our inventory systems and vendor portals while assisting with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse functions. The ideal candidate combines strong computer skills with versatility and a proactive approach to supporting our facility’s efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Data Management (Primary Focus):
Accurately enter and update inventory data in warehouse management systems and vendor portals
Scan and track all incoming and outgoing inventory using barcode technology
Maintain precise records of inventory transactions, locations, and stock levels
Process shipments and coordinate data between multiple systems
Generate inventory reports and analyze data for discrepancies or trends
Reconcile physical inventory counts with system records
Coordinate with vendors to ensure data accuracy in their systems
High proficiency in using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office for inventory tracking and reporting
Shipping and Receiving:
Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
Prepare and package outgoing shipments
Ensure all products are correctly labeled and stored in designated areas
Inventory Management:
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse layout to optimize space utilization
Maintain accurate inventory records across all systems
General Warehouse Operations:
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Driving Duties:
Approximately once per week, deliver material between locations using a box truck
Facility Support:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and minor carpentry work
Conduct routine inspections of drains around the exterior of the building
Maintain and repair building interiors and exteriors as needed
Ensure the premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained
Assist with setting up and breaking down events or special projects
Perform necessary groundskeeping duties, including lawn care and snow removal
Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly
Assist with various tasks and projects as directed by the supervisor
Working Conditions
Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures
This position requires both computer workstation time and physical activity throughout the warehouse
Physically demanding tasks require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong computer skills with high proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
Excellent data entry skills with high attention to accuracy
Experience using or willingness to learn barcode scanning systems and inventory software
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a box truck
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills
Safety-conscious and proactive in identifying potential hazards
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with inventory management software or warehouse systems
Previous experience in a warehouse or handyperson role
Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or ERP systems
Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
Understanding of inventory control principles
