What You Will Do
As the Winter Nature Experience Nurse, you will administer first aid and medication while keeping detailed records. Working under the direction of the Park Manager, you will also provide programming support for Winter Nature Experience staff. The work you do will help participants to have a safe camp experience.
Essential Duties
• Provide nursing support and first aid for Winter Nature Experience.
• Administer medication to attendees based on instructions from guardian and/or physician.
• Keep a detailed record of medication administration and any incidents requiring first aid.
• Provide programming support for Winter Nature Experience staff.
• Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.

Education and Experience
• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
• 2 or more years of experience in nursing field or providing nursing duties in a residential facility setting
• A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
Required Licenses and Certifications
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification or equivalent
• CPR, AED, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certification

• Requires criminal background check as condition of employment.
Working Conditions
• Frequent exposure to potentially adverse weather conditions.
• Frequent exposure to potentially adverse environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, chemicals, noise, and airborne particles.
• Frequent physical activity: standing/walking, pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying, climbing steps, squatting, stooping, and related activities.
• Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
