Workforce Training
The Carroll County Business/Employment Resource Center partners with training providers to meet identified business training needs. Carroll Community College, located in Westminster, is the preferred training vendor and is represented on the Carroll County Business Services Partnership.
The Carroll Community College Business Training & Services Division is a premier organizational development partner that provides individual, small or large group training, conferencing facilities, and business services consultation for all business sizes.
BERC can also contract directly with businesses to provide individual On-the-Job short-term training for qualified job seekers. This program is for “hard-to-fill” positions and operates on a reimbursement basis for a portion of the employee’s wages during the training period; the contract must be agreed upon and executed prior to hiring.
