Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will handle the financial processing of transactions for the agency to ensure completion and accuracy. Conduct daily bookkeeping, record keeping, financial reporting, reconcile, verify and process invoices for payment.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree in field is preferred*
• Accounting experience required
• Three to five years accounts payable experience preferred*
• Preference may be given for experience in one or more of the following areas of work: law
enforcement, criminal justice, corrections or area related to specialization
• Position requires extensive periods of sitting
• Position requires extensive periods of completing computer-based tasks
• Position may require the ability to lift 30-50 pounds, as well as push, pull or move objects

*A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications
