Job Description

The Plant Superintendent for the Assembly and Shipping departments is responsible for creating and nourishing a safe and positive work environment for said areas, while ensuring that expected customer ship dates are met and Evapco quality standards are upheld. This position will strive to provide shop leadership with all of the necessary tools needed to execute a successful production plan, which includes but is not limited to best-fit team members (via hiring practices), adequate manpower (via department transfers), reliable information (via communication with other departments), and a positive environment to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.

Qualifications:

– Must have experience or proven ability to lead a team, by maintaining a positive attitude and encouraging employee development and success.
– Must communicate well with others from various locations, cultures, and educational backgrounds.
– Must be comfortable with and successful at conflict resolution and solution-based thinking.
– Excellent organization and time management skills.
– Ability to effectively respond to unplanned or unforeseen obstacles.
– Monitor actual productivity of assembly line, as compared to weekly and monthly goals set.
– Consistently check in with leadership, to ensure they have the tools necessary to succeed.
– Communicate company information efficiently and effectively to shop leadership and workforce.
– Review safety and quality concerns as they arise and work to find preventive action for all concerns.
– Review current practices and suggest and implement possible opportunities for improvement.

Job Requirements

– Shop and office environment
– Professional appearance and clean dress required.
– Normal work week Monday through Friday, Saturday work likely, some Sunday work may be required.
– May be required to work swing, off shift or extra hours when business needs dictate
