Job Description

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The Collections Associate will be responsible for managing outstanding receivables, liaising with customers regarding payments, and ensuring adherence to credit policies. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of financial processes, and excellent communication, and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and recover outstanding receivables in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of customer account activity, communications, and payment arrangements.
• Collaborate with the sales and finance departments to resolve billing disputes and credit issues.
• Monitor customer accounts for timely payments and provide regular aging reports to management.
• Assist in the development and improvement of credit policies and procedures.
• Conduct collection calls while fostering strong relationships with both internal and external customers, as well as the sales team.
• Address queries about customer balances from both customers and internal teams.
• Handle required reporting and special projects.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Very detail oriented
• Business-to-business collections experience
• Excellent customer relationship management skills.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Ability to identify key process and system areas that have opportunities for improvement.
• Skilled at time management, multitasking, and prioritizing workload.

– Knowledge of the HVAC industry is a plus.
– Experience with ERP systems.
