Job Title: Welding Intern: paid position

Location: Magstone Shop, Union Bridge Maryland (Just outside Westminster)

Duration: Permanent position desired, but willing to field other term length options

About Magstone:

Magstone is an environmentally aware construction company specializing in stormwater management and sediment control through installing and maintaining stormwater systems. These systems comprise of bio retention ponds, stream restorations, bio and grass swales, and gabion baskets. We also install controls such as silt fence, diversion, super silt fence, tree protection, TSOS and TGOS, and much more for current commercial or residential construction sites. Position Overview:

Magstone is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Welding Intern to join our workshop team. This internship offers a hands-on experience in welding and fabrication, working closely with our skilled mechanics on a variety of projects, including studying under multiple skilled welders. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on diverse welding assignments, ranging from small components to larger structures. This role provides an excellent platform for learning and growth, with exposure to various welding techniques and the potential to explore other areas within our dynamic organization.

Job Requirements

Welding Projects:

-Execute welding tasks on various projects under the guidance of experienced mechanics.
Work on both small and large-scale welding projects, gaining practical experience in different welding techniques.
Collaboration:

-Collaborate with mechanics and other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Participate in team meetings to discuss project requirements and share insights.

Quality Assurance:

-Maintain high standards of welding quality and adhere to safety protocols.
Assist in inspecting completed welds to ensure they meet specifications.
Learning and Development:

-Actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge in welding and fabrication.
Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.

Qualifications:

-Currently or previously enrolled in a welding program or relevant technical education.
