Job Description

The Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking a skilled trades worker to join our team as a Maintenance
Specialist. A typical workday may include cleaning and general maintenance of public facilities, grounds
maintenance, and trash removal, including lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally. Other projects
may include general construction, trail maintenance, etc. During weather events, staff will be required for snow
removal and other clean up duties.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Three years of experience as skilled tradesworker or parks and grounds maintenance*
3. Valid driver’s license
4. Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Card
5. CPR and First Aid certification (or obtain within the first six months of employment)
6. Class A or B commercial driver’s license preferred
*A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
