Job Description
As a Landfill Equipment Operator, you will operate heavy, medium, and light equipment to grade and compact solid waste, place and grade soil, move scrap metal and haul landfill leachate. Working under the direction of the Solid Waste Manager, you will perform maintenance and complete paperwork while maintaining a safe work environment. The work you do will help Carroll County Government provide effective services related to solid waste.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
• One or more years of related experience
• A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
• Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement (Tanker Endorsement must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
• Department of Transportation (DOT) physical card
