Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

As a General Clerk II, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the Fire Investigation and Forensic Science Curriculum at the National Fire Academy. This position is perfect for those seeking hands-on experience in a field directly tied to emergency response, fire safety, and training for first responders. You will assist in both classroom and field-based training environments, ensuring that future firefighters and investigators receive top-tier, real-world preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the Fire Investigation and Forensic Sciences Curriculum.
• Assist in the setup and operation of fire science training activities, including live burn exercises and forensic investigations.
• Help with the management of supplies, tools, and equipment used in the classroom and outdoor training environments.
• Conduct weekly inventories and maintain equipment readiness.
• Assist in logistical planning and support for classroom preparation and practical exercises.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• No prior experience in firefighting is required—just a passion for public safety and a readiness to learn!
