hesapeake Systems, a trusted partner in providing advanced mechanical solutions for commercial and institutional facilities, is actively recruiting for a Commercial HVAC Field Technician with a strong operational discipline and technical precision. We are looking for candidates with a background in engineering, facilities operations, and technical specialties who are ready to bring their field experience and mindset to the workforce.

Base Pay: $30-$50/Hr

Commensurate with experience. This range represents a general guideline; however, a number of factors are considered when determining base pay offers, such as the scope of responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions

Job Requirements

Required qualifications & Experience:

4+ years of commercial HVAC or equivalent military mechanical experience (e.g., 12K, 3E4X1, EM/HT/EOS ratings, etc.)
Journeyman License (preferred), however, not required
Strong field troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities under pressure
Exceptional communication, situational awareness, and a great attitude

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Execute diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including
Cooling Towers, boilers, heat pumps, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automated control systems
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions using systematic, field-tested protocols
Perform equipment start-ups, system evaluations, and corrective repairs with minimal supervision
Replace or repair defective components, wiring, and integrated systems with precision and accountability
Interpret technical manuals, system schematics, and operational diagrams to maintain system integrity and reliability
