Job Description

The City of Westminster has immediate openings for 2 Equipment Operators (I or II) within the Utilities Department to perform tasks such as:

Preparation and backfilling of excavated holes (saw cutting, jackhammering, earth removal, multiple lifts and tamping of stone, final surface patching).
Assist with maintenance and repairs to the water distribution and sewer collection systems.
Assist with maintenance and repairs to the sewer lift and water booster stations.
Assist with maintenance and repairs to the Fiber Optic Network.

Equipment Operator I – $17.76/hour; must have a valid Class C driver’s license. Ability to obtain a CDL Class A license within one (1) year on the job. CDL Training Class A training offered.

Equipment Operator II – $21.11/hour; must already have a valid CDL Class A license.

Full-Time: 40-hour position, permanent position.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma GED;
• Equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.
Licenses or Certifications:
• Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid Class A restricted CDL driver’s license with tank vehicle and air
brake endorsements within six months on the job;
