YOUTH SERVICES for OUT OF SCHOOL and UNEMPLOYED youth
Carroll County Youth Works staff can help with:
- Career and employment coaching
- High School Diploma attainment
- Skills training
- Tutoring
- Resume and interviewing assistance
- Job search assistance
- Paid/unpaid work experience
Who is Eligible?
- Carroll County residents between the ages of 16 and 24
- High school dropouts
- Homeless or runaways
- Pregnant or parenting
- Foster children
- Offenders
- Limited skills in reading and math
- Economically challenged
- Individuals with IEP or 504 Plan
Veterans, Transitioning Military, and Spouses
Veterans receive priority service at Carroll County Workforce Development.
The Maryland Department of Labor administers the Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) and Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist (DVOP) to provide services to veterans and eligible persons in the American Job Centers.
