What You Will Do
As the Administrative Assistant for Workforce Development, you will provide essential administrative support for the Workforce Development Board and manage office-related expenses within the operating and grants budget. Working under the direction of the Workforce Development Manager, you will provide fiscal and marketing support to the Workforce Development team and engage professionally with visitors. The work you do will help local citizens advance their careers.
Essential Duties
• Provide administrative support to the Carroll County Workforce Development Board.
• Develop marketing and outreach materials. Work with vendors for sourced services.
• Process transactions, complete journal entries, and assist fiscal manager in grant documentation.
• Compose, prepare, and process complex and confidential correspondence.
• Perform general support functions such as scheduling meetings, distributing mail, and retrieving information.
• Greet and engage with visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner. Serve as a point of contact for County agencies and clients.
• Manage office related expenses within operating budget. Provide fiscal support to Fiscal Manager.
• Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.
