Job Description

Are you ready to support a vital government function? As the Administrative Assistant for the Comptroller, you will handle the clerical duties. Your role will support smooth operation. Essential Duties
• Greet and engage with visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner. Serve as a point of contact for County agencies and clients.
• Assist the Comptroller with Tax Sale and maintain the Tax Sale account.
• Maintain Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP) records in order for the County to payout properly.
• Assist with entering journal entries, p-cards, and other duties that help the Comptroller staff prepare financials and maintain the County’s financial records.
• Compose, prepare, and process complex and confidential correspondence.
• Perform general support functions such as scheduling meetings, distributing mail, and retrieving information.
• Manage office related expenses within operating budget.
• Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.
• Exhibit integrity, ethics, and fiscal responsibility.
• Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.

Education and Experience
• Associate degree or two years of college in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Three or more years of related experience
• A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
