WESTMINSTER SECURITY COMPANY (WSC) is a 2nd generation, family owned and operated company that has been in business for over 50 years. We have serviced thousands of homes, businesses, government facilities, etc. all throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, DC, Delaware, as well as a few other states. (We are NOT affiliated in any way, with Toll Brother Homes- former Westminster Security in PA.)

We Install, Service, Inspect and Monitor the following systems:

Home Intrusion Systems
Commercial Intrusion and Fire Alarm Systems
Access Control Systems
Commercial CCTV
We are an Authorized Alarm.com Dealer, DMP Dealer, 2GIG and Bosch Dealer.

WSC is currently seeking to fulfill the position for a security alarm technician and installer to complete new installations and service existing residential and commercial accounts. You will install security devices that include intrusion and fire alarms, access control devices, CCTV, and life safety devices.

The ideal technician will be punctual, organized, professional, and a good communicator. They will take initiative and have willingness to learn and grow with our company. We prefer that you have some industry experience, are handy, as well as having the programming and technical skills.

We prefer to not micro-manage our employees, so please have a strong and moral work ethic. Be mature, responsible and accountable. We do not tolerate gossip, pettiness, passive agrressivness or drama in our work environment. We are a small business but take pride with both our employees and our customers. Installer/Service Techician Responsibilites:

Always conduct yourself in a professional manner with attire, with customers and with co-workers.
Be punctual and responsible with a strong and moral work ethic.
Install, Dianosis, Repair a variety of systems.
Have strong problem solving skills and be able to work independetly.
Maintain accurate and detail records of work performed.
Check-in and out of each and every location.
Commmunicate effectively to both customers, as well as your fellow co-workers and office.
Provide detail explanaations and training to customers on both job-site, as well as support on phone or through messaging services.
Stay updated and skilled with the latest technology trends in the Security and Protection Industry.
Offer expert advice and support with service, installation and possible sales.
Be profcient with using tools, both hand and power, as well as technial
Show increasing effort to evolve as a key employee with WSC, with continued initiative learning and training training on new panels, systems, products, etc.
Must have a valid driver’s license (no more than two points) and be able to pass a full Maryland State Police and background check with FBI fingerprinting.
