Job Description

The City of Westminster is seeking an Aquatics & Fitness Manager that will be responsible for professional duties in planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, and supervising a variety of recreation programs, leisure activities, and special events for the City. These duties will also include managing recreational facilities such as the Westminster Family Fitness Center and the municipal pool complex, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-ordered environment and compliance with all local state and federal laws.

The Manager performs a variety of complex, highly responsible programmatic functions including forecasting and preparing program budgets. This position will also be required to supervise staff occasionally on weekends, weeknights and holidays as needed.

This person should possess excellent organizational and communication skills along with outstanding abilities in public relations.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Parks or a related field preferred but not required; four (4) years of related experience (teaching/instructing recreation programs) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
The pay range for this full-time 40-hour per week position is $21.11 – 23.00 per hour.
