Job Description
VN Management, Inc. manages Condominium and Homeowner Associations across Maryland. VN works with Community Board Members and many contractors on a day-to-day basis with a focus on providing outstanding service and efficient execution of Board directive. This is a growing company with internal growth opportunity.
Position Summary: The Assistant Manager is a training position, assisting a community manager with the accounting and administration on a portfolio of community associations. Based on candidate’s experience in management and customer service, the position could transition to Community Manager within 3-6 months. This position leads to a career and all candidates should be motivated accordingly. Community Managers work 40-50 hours a week which can include some evenings.
Job Requirements
Essential Duties:
1. Provide exceptional customer service to all homeowners, Board members, contractors, etc. by efficiently and professionally answering telephone calls and emails.
2. Assist the Community Association Managers by problem solving prior to escalation.
3. Maintain each assigned property by administering work orders, obtaining bids, writing professional letters and reports, and assisting with homeowner concerns or questions.
4. Assist with other administrative duties.
5. Assist office staff with other various tasks.
6. Present information, proposals, concerns to the Board and owners and Board Meetings, either in person or by ZOOM.
7. Primary hours are Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm but some evening hours are required – up to 1 to 2 days per week.
8. Hours will be primarily worked at our office located in Elkridge but some travel to the communities is required throughout a given month
Job Requirements:
• Career motivated
• 2+ years of customer service experience in a professional atmosphere – legal, real estate or construction office preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a management role – managing personnel, contractors or projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in some public speaking (10-30 people)
• Detail and goal oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft, Excel, Word, etc.
• Positive, solution-oriented attitude and strong work ethic

Wages per hour: Base 45,000 per year

Percentage-based compensation would begin after 90 – 1% for assistant role and 5% for manager Other benefits begin after 90 days and include health insurance paid for employee, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, all banking holidays paid off as well as a 401k match up to 4% which begins after six months
