Job Description
A construction assistant supervisor’s duties include supporting the supervisor in overseeing construction projects, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining safety and quality standards. They may assist with tasks like coordinating / meeting deliveries, coordinating subcontractors, and monitoring progress, maintaining clean jobsites as well as administrative duties like documentation and reporting.

Assisting the Supervisor:
The core function is to support the onsite construction supervisor in their daily tasks and responsibilities. This includes helping with delivery scheduling, coordinating work, and monitoring progress to ensure projects stay on track.
Delivery Management:
The assistant supervisor will coordinate managing jobsite deliveries, ensuring they adhere to project specifications.
Safety and Quality Control:
A crucial aspect is promoting and maintaining safety on the construction site. This involves monitoring work practices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and assisting with inspections. They also ensure the quality of work aligns with project requirements.
Resource Management:
The assistant supervisor may assist in ordering materials and equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring resources are available when needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
They often handle administrative tasks such as documenting work progress, creating reports, and maintaining records related to the project.
Communication and Teamwork:
Effective communication with the supervisor, subcontractors, and other team members is essential. The assistant supervisor helps facilitate clear and efficient communication on the construction site.
