In addition to setting up and operating CNC equipment, this role offers the opportunity to expand your skill set by operating lasers and injection mold machines in a climate controlled manufacturing environment.

Job Summary Looking for a CNC Mill setup/operator machinist for a temperature-controlled machine shop in Westminster, MD. The position will entail using setup cards to select tooling and fixturing, setting up machines, and running jobs. You will also be required to perform in-process inspections, deburring, and multi-machine operations including laser and mold machine processing.

Major Responsibilities:

Use setup cards to select correct tooling and fixturing, set up CNC mills, and run production jobs.
Safely operate lasers and injection mold machines alongside primary CNC equipment.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and visual quality inspections using blueprints and measurement tools.
Perform deburring, rework, and secondary operations as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with shop safety standards.
Report and contain non-conforming products to prevent contamination or defects.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to report equipment issues and support continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Basic Requirements

5 years of experience setting up CNC mills.
Ability to read blueprints and perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
Ability to select correct tooling and fixturing from a setup card.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, measurement).
Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Mastercam / SolidWorks.
Ability to set up CNC lathes.
CMM experience.
Experience using HAAS CNC machines.
