Job Description

Perform various custodial duties to include daily cleaning of restrooms, lounges, offices, kitchens, break rooms, conference rooms, entry areas, porches, lobbies, classrooms and corridors in accordance with standard operating procedures of the department.

Job Requirements

• Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules using the prescribed methods.
• Dust horizontal/vertical surfaces.
• Empty and remove waste or recycles trash receptacles.
• Clean metal and porcelain fixtures in restrooms.
• Sanitize and clean sinks, urinals, toilets, and showers in restrooms.
• Dry and wet mop floors in offices, classrooms, lounges, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc.
• Spot clean walls, windows and metal surfaces.
• Replenish restroom soap, paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer,
• Wipe furniture and surfaces
• Clean glass and mirrors
• Vacuum carpets
• Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report all repairs needed.
• Perform floor projects as needed and directed by your supervisor such as carpet spotting and extraction, hard surface floor burnishing, scrubbing, stripping and recoating.
• Observe and report repair needs of the college thru implementation of work orders
• Ensure all doors are locked or unlocked as scheduled and report all suspicious activities to management.
• Have a friendly and cooperative positive customer service attitude toward students, faculty, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
