What You Will Do
As a Custodian, you will use your experience to perform essential custodial duties. Your expertise will impact the condition of County facilities through the sanitizing and cleaning of all areas within a building, including collecting trash. The Grounds Manager will rely on you to aid in creating a safe and sanitary environment for employees and visitors.
Essential Duties
Assure that buildings are clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly. Tasks include cleaning lavatories, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and using industrial powered equipment to clean and wax floors.
Pick up litter, empty trash cans, and put trash in dumpster.
Replace deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels, and soap.
Apply salt to prevent icy conditions and shovel snow at building entrances during inclement weather events.
Assure that walkways and exits are kept clear. Note potential maintenance issues and report to supervisor for scheduling repairs.
Maintain all cleaning equipment.
Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.
