Job Description

Are a part of the Department of Fire & Emergency Medical Services (DFEMS), you will use your data analysis skills to support Department process and policy decisions. You will collect, analyze, and maintain data to create reports identifying trends. The work you do will ensure data accuracy.
Essential Duties
• Prepare reports measuring DFEMS performance and initiatives. Identify data trends and patterns to support process and policy decisions.
• Analyze and maintain data from reporting platforms utilized by DFEMS.
• Respond to requests for data analysis and information from internal and external agencies.
• Audit records management system data. Identify and correct errors; send monthly audit reports.
• Interface with the Department of Public Safety and its entities for data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) utilization. Create GIS products specific to data analysis and reporting
• Provide ongoing systems maintenance, including management of applicable software and assurance of data efficiency.
• Support the DFEMS strategic plan and other planning initiatives.
• Serve as administrator for Fire/EMS reporting system. Coordinate data input, validation, and analysis. Interface with local, state, and federal agencies as required.
• Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.

Job Requirements

You Might Be a Good Fit If
Education & Experience
• Associate degree or two years of college
• Five or more years of related experience
• A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
Licenses
• Valid driver’s license
Certifications
• NFPA Standard 1022: Standard for Fire & Emergency Services Analyst Professional Qualifications through MFSPQB or equivalent (or must obtain within one year of employment)
