What You Will Do
As the Farm Museum Caretaker, you will open and close the facilities on a routine basis and feed farm animals. You will provide support for events, remaining onsite and assisting with clean-up. The work you do will help ensure the Farm Museum is safe and secure.
Essential Duties
• Feed farm animals twice daily on weekends and provide basic care.
• Open and close the front gates and buildings seven days a week at scheduled times.
• Clean and stock restrooms on weekends.
• Open and close facilities for scheduled events. Remain onsite for the duration of the event. At the end of the event, ensure everyone has left the property and lock all perimeter gates.
• Clean after weddings, including stacking ceremony chairs and taking trash to the dumpster.
• Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.

Additional Information
• Due to the nature of the role, which may involve after-hours responsibilities and emergency response, on-site residency is required. The employee will be responsible for paying monthly rent for the housing.
• Must be onsite daily at assigned times as required to perform duties. Assigned times include mornings, afternoons, and evenings; seven days a week, including holidays and when the Farm Museum is closed.
• Work schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions
• Frequent exposure to potentially adverse weather conditions.
• Occasional exposure to potentially adverse environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, chemicals, noise, and airborne particles.
• Frequent physical activity: standing/walking, pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying, climbing steps, squatting, stooping, and related activities.
• Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
