Job Description

Immediate opening for a fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems technician.  Although experienced candidates are encouraged to apply; WFX will train a candidate that possesses general mechanical experience and a desire to learn the trade.  Responsibilities include inspection, testing & maintaining wet and dry fire sprinkler systems and fire suppression systems in commercial settings.  Repairs and modifications are also an essential part of the position.  All necessary training, tools, equipment and code education are provided.  The position is based at the corporate office in Westminster, MD; and serves our customers in Maryland & Pennsylvania.  The candidate must possess organizational & communication skills, customer service experience, ability to work independently and as a team and to respond to emergency service calls and after-hours calls when needed.  Long-term, career minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements

Must be able to walk frequently and work from ladders, scissor lifts & similar equipment. Must be able to stretch, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Must have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
