Job Description

The Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking a skilled trades worker to join our team as a Maintenance Specialist. A typical workday may include cleaning and general maintenance of public facilities, grounds maintenance, and trash removal, including lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally. Other projects may include general construction, trail maintenance, etc. During weather events, staff will be required for snow removal and other clean up duties.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Three years of experience as skilled trades worker or parks and grounds maintenance*
*A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT AND LICENSES
1. Requires criminal background check as condition of employment
2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally
3. May require flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
