Job Description

Independent Car Service Inc. is seeking responsible, compassionate, and punctual individuals to join our team as Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers. The NEMT Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation for clients to and from medical appointments, dialysis, adult day care, physical therapy, and other essential services.

Key Responsibilities:
* Safely transport passengers to scheduled medical appointments and return trips.
* Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, including those using wheelchairs or walkers (if applicable).
* Provide courteous, professional, and compassionate service at all times.
* Maintain accurate trip logs, including mileage, time of pick-up/drop-off, and client signatures.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
* Communicate with dispatch for schedule updates or delays.
* Follow all local and state driving laws, as well as HIPAA privacy regulations.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
* Valid Maryland driver’s license with a clean driving record.
* Must be at least 21 years old.
* Reliable smartphone for GPS and dispatch communication.
* Ability to pass a background check and drug & alcohol screening.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if assisting with mobility devices.
* CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
