Job Description

The Warehouse Technician supports the receiving, inventory management, staging, deployment, and shipping of end-user IT hardware. This role works closely with IT support teams to maintain accurate inventory of laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, peripherals, and related technology equipment. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills and foundational technical knowledge aligned with CompTIA A+ concepts.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming IT hardware shipments
• Asset tag and document laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, docking stations, and mobile devices
• Stage and prepare end-user devices for deployment
• Perform basic hardware setup, imaging, and configuration
• Package and ship equipment to users or remote locations
• Maintain accurate inventory records in asset management systems
• Track warranty information and equipment lifecycle status
• Assist with hardware refresh projects and device recovery
• Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and escalate advanced problems
• Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and secure storage of IT assets
• Coordinate with Help Desk, Desktop Support, and Procurement teams
• Follow company security, safety, and data handling procedures

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year experience in warehouse, inventory, or IT support environment preferred
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and peripherals
• Familiarity with Windows devices and mobile technology
• Experience with barcode scanners or inventory systems is a plus
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical training
• Experience with device imaging tools such as SCCM, Intune, or Autopilot
• Knowledge of asset management and ticketing systems
• Previous experience in enterprise IT environments
