Job Description
As an Apprentice Operator I in the Bureau of Utilities, you will assist in the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection systems and facilities. Working under the direction of a supervisor, you will perform inspections and provide general maintenance. The work you do will support safe and efficient operations in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
•Up to one year of related experience
A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement
•Valid driver’s license
•Must apply for a Maryland Temporary Class 2 Wastewater Collection license within 30 days of employment
•Department of Transportation (DOT) physical card
•State of Maryland Flagging Certification (or must obtain within 90 days of employment)
•May be required to work outside of standard hours.
