What You Will Do
As the Project Analyst III, you will lead strategic project oversight and provide high-level analytical support for complex Public Works initiatives. In this role, you will independently assess financial performance, identify operational risks and efficiencies, and deliver data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. You will play a critical role in strengthening fiscal governance, optimizing business processes, and ensuring the financial integrity and long-term success of key Public Works projects and programs.
Essential Duties
• Provide independent project management, coordination, and oversight for a range of complex Public Works initiatives.
• Evaluate financial performance of enterprise funds and major capital projects; develop and recommend rate structures to support long-term financial sustainability.
• Conduct detailed management and operational analyses; evaluate alternatives and recommend process improvements for implementation.
• Evaluate and make recommendations on projects, ideas, and financial information for the Department of Public Works.
• Coordinate development of local code amendments through the County legislative process, including research, drafting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare comparative analysis. Recommend and monitor/review fiscal revenues and expenditures.
• Review and analyze proposed Federal and State legislation; assess operational, financial, and policy impacts to the County.
• Oversee and coordinate financial audits related to Public Works programs and capital projects.
• Maintain and ensure the integrity of Public Works data within financial management systems.
• Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
