What You Will Do
The Administrative Technician for Facilities plays an important role in providing administrative and logistical support to the division. You will provide support by answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, managing intake of work orders, processing purchase orders, and filing documents to maintain organization. We are looking for a team player who is ready to support a team of skilled trades workers. Your day-to-day will include decisions to prioritize needs, ensuring smooth correspondence with other County employees and outside agencies.
Essential Duties
• Provide administrative and technical support for Facilities services and projects.
• Process reports, surveys, invoices and other accounting records. Input and process p-card receipts for monthly journal processing and summary billing for energy providers.
• Monitor work orders and assign appropriate staff. Maintain Facilities work order system.
• Perform general support functions such as scheduling meetings, distributing mail, and retrieving information.
• Greet and assist visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner. Serve as a point of contact for County agencies and clients.
• Answer phone calls, answering routine questions, taking messages, and redirecting as appropriate.
• Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.
• Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
