Summary: This is a supervisory position, requiring general and specific knowledge of community-based programs, behavioral health, recovery and rehabilitation. Primary responsibility is to assist the Manager in oversight of delivery of services, staff supervision, administration and evaluation of the Residential Program with integrity and professionalism. This position involves supervision of staff and the monitoring of the assigned budgeted line items.
Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of program activities and service delivery to clients.
Assess, coordinate, and implement service planning needs of clients assigned to the designated program area and accept bottom line responsibility for provision of their health/resource management needs.
Support the implementation of new program services and quality improvement systems to meet the changing needs of clients.
Ensure clients receive services based upon their individual needs.
Communicate case rate numbers regularly to their supervisor.
Ensure coordinated services to WSI clients through effective interface with various program components and with external service providers.
Participate in the interviewing, hiring and training of program staff as assigned.
Provide orientation, ongoing training and supervision and evaluation of assigned staff.
Ensure all necessary hiring, initial orientation and ongoing paperwork is completed and turned in.
Teach, coach and model skills for staff development including psychiatric rehabilitation skills, motivational techniques and cognitive behavioral techniques.
Supervise and direct activity of facilitators and students assigned to the team, including development of staff schedule.
Participate in the development of program budgets as assigned. Monitor program utilization, revenue and costs.
Coordinate with HUD and Property Management on housing maintenance repairs.
Participate in facility inspections and act as liaison with Property Maintenance staff for the maintenance of all facilities on the team. Conduct pre-inspections prior to inspection date; document inspections, and provide feedback to clients and staff.
Ensure the completion of safety scenarios and fire drills as assigned.
Attend team meetings and provide leadership as assigned. Attend other assigned meetings.
Provide face-to-face skill teaching, problem solving, and support to clients.
Ensure house meetings are occurring and being documented.
Perform facilitator duties as needed.
Provide bottom line responsibility and tracking for timely and accurate documentation for the team, i.e.: daily progress note, monthly summary notes, IRP paperwork and supporting documentation.
Provide after-hours support, problem solving around staffing and coverage, as assigned.
Coordinate the move in/move out process for all clients in the WSI RRP services on the team, assuring all necessary paperwork completed.
Maintain compliance with applicable licensing, accrediting and funding standards. Prepare program for external program and facility site reviews. In collaboration with Manager, develop and implement correction plans.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with individuals served, families, and referral sources, and purchasers of service, staff and other service providers.
Assure safe work environment in designated work areas and positive atmosphere in assigned facilities.
Participate in Services Review Team/Enrollment and in monitoring housing placements.
In collaboration with Program Manager, ensure communication of repair needs with property owners and/or property management agencies of all Residential facilities.
Observe and report any changes in individual’s conditions, physical and/or mental health.
Manage difficult or emotional individual situations, respond professionally for requests for assistance and support.
Assess for health and safety and take action with individuals, groups and environment.
Maintain client privacy in accordance with HIPAA, MD Privacy Law and WSI policy.
Respond to crisis situation.
Plan coverage for absences in conjunction with your supervisor.
Complete training and documentation as required by regulation and accreditation bodies.
Thoroughly document all services.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field or an Associate’s Degree and work experience which uniquely qualifies the individual for the job.
Professional Experience: Two years positively referenced relevant work experience including supervisory experience.
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to navigate through applications and utilize keyboard to input required documentation into electronic health record.
Driving Record: Safe driving record.
Background Check: Satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
Transportation: Possession of a 4 passenger vehicle that meets Sheppard Pratt inspection, valid Driver’s License and vehicle insurance that names employee as insured driver.
Availability of Work Schedule: Work primarily M-F business hours but must be flexible to adjust schedule to meet program needs including evening or weekends. Requires On-Call availability.
