Job Description

As a Communication Manager for Carroll County, you will strategize information and materials to support
programs, services, and activities. We are looking for an experienced media and public relations expert to help
develop and coordinate information flow. You will help inform the public and distribute information through
media. The Board of County Commissioners will rely upon you to serve as the County’s Public Information
Officer (PIO).

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field
• Five or more years of related experience
• A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
• Will be required to work outside of standard hours.
• May be identified as Essential Personnel during emergency situations.
• Must be able to provide own transportation as needed for local travel
