Job Description

The Department of Recreation and Parks is currently searching for a safety-focused individual with experience in operating a firearms facility to join our team at Hap Baker. As a Range Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring the facility to make sure all is in order, assisting in checking in patrons, moving between rifle range and pistol range to ensure individuals are following the rules, and preparing the daily cash intake summary.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
1. Must be 21 years of age or older
2. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
3. Training/experience/course work or any combination thereof in firearms instruction and safety.
4. Experience in dealing with the public; experience in operating and managing a firearms facility.*
5. Valid driver’s license
6. Criminal history record check as condition of employment
7. First Aid, CPR, AED and Bloodborne Pathogen training/certification (or must obtain within 3 months of
employment)

*A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications
